High winds have brought down trees and power lines in Pennsylvania, with reports of tens of thousands of utility customers without power in Western Pennslvania.

Regionally, more than 5,000 PPL customers are without power and MetEd has reported about 3,600 customers without power.

A high wind warning issued by the National Weather Service covers all of the midstate and continues until 1 this afternoon. Expect West 25 to 35 miles per hourwith gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
